Let's Prepare For Your Session....
In the weeks leading up to your baby’s birth, your mind is planning ahead for what is to come and one of the last things on your list is to search for a photographer. I recommend booking your photographer 2-4 months in advance, picking a date within the first 10 days after your due date. In the first 10 days after giving birth, your baby tends to be less fussy, sleeps more deeply, and typically doesn’t have infant acne yet. Older babies still photograph beautifully but they might not nicely fold into the superposed positions
Night Before Our Session:
Pull any outfits, blankets, or special props you want to use to the side.
2 Hours Before Our Session:
Keep your baby awake. I know you both are tired but the more sleepy they are during our session the easier our session will flow when they’re sound asleep.
1 Hour Before Our Session:
Crank up your heat and loosen babe’s clothing and diaper to reduce red marks.
30-15 minutes Before:
Feed baby, let them fall asleep, and get them dressed in their first outfit.
6 months pregnant:
Book your session and fill out the questionnaire! Then start dreaming about your session!
6-9 months pregnant:
Think of a space in your home where we can utilize about 4 feet of space (preferably near a window.) Take a couple photos of the space and send them my way. If your nursery is ready, take photos of that too! I’d love to see your color scheme and little babe’s new home!
Day Of/After Delivery:
Keep me on the list of people you notify that you’ve given birth, please! First and foremost, I want to congratulate you! And if we need to wiggle the date around, we can both be prepared.
